About the position:

This is a lending professional role within the front office. As a key member of the Lending team, you will be responsible for executing new business with an emphasis on Fund Finance, while also supporting transactions across a broader set of industry verticals as required. Fund Finance covers clients within the investment management industry including alternative asset management firms and financial sponsors, publicly traded investment funds, and private investment vehicles. The team has a primary focus on originating Capital Call, Private Credit, and NAV based transactions centered on structured corporate financings. You will work with other team members in the analysis, financial modeling, negotiation, sourcing, and managing of client relationships and complex financings across the sector in the Americas.

Responsibilities:

  • The Lending Team is involved with new transactions and takes primary responsibility for many of the key processes, which include:
    • Performing due diligence, market research and analytics
    • Preparing credit approval packages including annexes and all requisite attachments, presentations and discussions with Risk Management
    • Developing key underwriting assumptions based on a deep understanding of the asset, market and industry trends
    • Running internal models, including risk ratings and loan pricing
    • Interfacing with risk, loan operations, treasury, legal teams, clients and co-lenders to coordinate loan closings
    • Reviewing legal documentation and validating key terms & conditions
  • The Lending Team works closely with the client relationship managers and/or the Deal Principals on originating and structuring deals
  • While Fund Finance is the core concentration, the role may also involve supporting credit structuring efforts across a range of industries covered by the team, including Asset-Based Lending, Real Estate, TMT, Infrastructure, and others
  • Ensure a consistent level of quality and policy compliance through training and development activities
  • Staying current on organizational operating policies and procedures (i.e. Risk, Legal, etc.) to ensure appropriate protocols are implemented and followed, and facilitate these accordingly

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree demonstrating high academic achievement
  • Completion of formal bank credit training
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Committed and dedicated individual who will continuously improve the way the team works
  • Collaborative, team oriented, and able to work effectively across functions and regions
  • Strong writing, presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities
  • Self-motivated and willing to work in a deal oriented and deadline driven environment
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and professional demeanor

Salary Range $130,000-$175,000
