Billing & Collections Director - Silicon Valley, CA

Role:

The Billing & Collections Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the firm's billing and collections processes. This includes managing billing staff, preparing and reviewing client invoices, working with attorneys to ensure accurate and timely billing, and following up with clients on outstanding invoices. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure timely collections, and for monitoring the firm's accounts receivable and cash flow.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise billing staff and ensure accurate and timely processing of client invoices
• Review client billing data for accuracy and compliance with firm policies
• Work with attorneys to resolve billing discrepancies and issues
• Develop and implement billing and collections policies and procedures
• Monitor accounts receivable and cash flow to ensure timely collections
• Follow up with clients on outstanding invoices and coordinate payment arrangements
• Provide regular reports and updates on billing and collections performance to firm management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
• Previous experience in billing and collections within a law firm
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Knowledge of legal industry billing practices and regulations
• Familiarity with accounting principles and financial reporting

Compensation:

$200-280k+ depending on experience
