\nKelly is seeking a Controller to work with our client, the North American division of a global manufacturer, on a direct hire basis! This is an excellent opportunity to work for a privately and family-owned organization that feels small on the local level but is backed by strong international success!

\nThe Controller will:\n

\n\t
• Manage all accounting functions including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, and purchasing\n\t
• Handle general and sub ledger accounting & analysis (AR and billing, AP, revenue recognition, operating expenses, inventory and COGS, accruals, insurances records, payroll, fixed assets) \n\t
• Coordinate and prepare month-end closings and year-end closings\n\t
• Be responsible for internal and external financial reporting\n\t
• Prepare monthly intercompany reconciliation with HQ and other subsidiaries \n\t
• Lead all financial planning and analysis, including forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management\n\t
• Outline and implement company-wide budget plans \n\t
• Coordinate internal and external audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls \n\t
• Oversee insurance and risk management \n\t
• Assess company spending and work to reduce costs\n\t
• Prepare diverse tax returns (corporate tax, state tax, sales tax, payroll tax) \n\t
• Handle all cost accounting \n\t
• Hire, train, retain, and supervise finance staff\n\t
• Supervise and coordinate physical inventory count \n\t
• Manage the collection and analysis of actual vs. budgeted costs on a monthly basis \n\t
• Develop and implement procedures to ensure accuracy of accounting \n\t
• Know and adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)\n

\nQualifications:\n\n

\n\t
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting \n\t
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry\n\t
• Previous supervisory experience preferred\n\t
• Working knowledge of forecasting and financial reports \n\t
• Demonstrated experience in financial external and internal audit \n\t
• Demonstrated ability to interpret economic conditions and anticipate the impact on the organization \n\t
• Basic competence in duties and tasks of supervised employees \n\t
• Ability to work with all levels of management \n\t
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow \n\t
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm \n\t
• Highly motivated and self-driven\n
