Our client has a collaborative team environment and is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Development Coordinator to support their fundraising and donor engagement efforts on the West Coast. Job Description:

The Development Coordinator will serve as an administrative anchor for the development team, providing vital support in donor management, event coordination, and day-to-day office operations. This hybrid role will require two days per week in the downtown San Francisco office, alongside a supportive, high-performing team of development professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support donor outreach efforts by maintaining CRM records and generating donor activity reports
  • Provide general administrative support including travel coordination, calendar management, and expense processing
  • Oversee daily office operations including supplies, vendor management, and facilities support
  • Act as the first point of contact for donor inquiries and external communications
  • Coordinate with internal teams to help plan regional events and donor engagement activities
  • Collaborate on newsletters and donor communication projects
  • Assist with tracking budgets, invoices, and reviewing financial reports
  • Adapt to varying priorities and assist the development team with other administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in administrative support, development, or fundraising environments
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and “wearing many hats”
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; CRM experience preferred (Salesforce a plus)
  • Experience in nonprofit or mission-based work is highly desirable

Additional Details:

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM (flexible start/end time)
  • Work Model: Hybrid (2 in-office days/week)
  • Contract-to-hire
  • Background check required: State, County, Federal, and Education Verification
