SUMMARY

· Established in 2005, TechMate is an ever-evolving Managed IT Service provider in Winter Haven, Florida. We provide on-site and remote IT support for small to medium sized businesses in the Central Florida area as well as remote IT support for cloud only clients across the United States. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a full time, highly motivated, dependable, organized, client-focused, experienced Level I help desk technician who can think quick on their feet for client resolutions. Pay is based on experience with opportunities for pay raises as skill set increases.

 

Duties/Responsibilities

· Feet on the ground support for our local clients

· Dependable

· Attention to detail

· Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively

· Great customer services skills, simplistic explanations to complex problems

· Working with clients & vendors to resolve application related issues

· Exceptional troubleshooting skills

· Quick initial response and completion of help desk tickets

· Communication with clients as required by email & phone

· Writing internal documentation and process documentation for clients

· Proficient with new technology and integrating systems together

· Fast learner with ability to communicate effectively with clients

· Ability to lift up to 30 pounds

· Adaptable

· Installing end user software such as Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, web browsers, and similar

· Offering computer system recommendations based on user needs & software requirements

 

 

Must Have Experience

· IT Support for technical issues involving Windows OS & Mac OS
Intermediate understanding of installing hardware devices and procuring drivers for printers, USB devices, and similar

· Procurement of computer systems, parts, and software solutions

· Building desktop computers from parts and disassembly

· Disassembly of laptop computers and reassemble

· Basic understanding of networking such as LAN & WAN networks, local DNS & WAN DNS, configuring static LAN IPs, and similar.

· Configuring POP, IMAP, and Exchange email for end users on their computers & mobile devices

· Installing and uninstalling Windows OS patches

· Understanding of user-based VPN connectivity for work from home solutions

· Understanding of a RMM platform, creating custom scripts, configuring service alerts

· Understanding of a Support Ticketing platform

· Understanding of a Documentation platform


Desired

· Previous MSP experience

· Basic understanding of Microsoft 365 & Office 365 technologies and administration

· SharePoint Online management, setup, migration, and administration

· Hyper-V & VMWare virtualization

· Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022, 2025

· Office 365 Email migrations from various sources

· Remote Desktop Services, RemoteApp deployment

· Managed Switch & Access Point configurations

· Microsoft Teams management

· Related certifications and training

· Local resident of Polk County

· Understanding of VOIP phone solutions & implementation
