Position Summary:

Provides professional and technical skills to ensure safety, comfort personal hygiene and the protection of patients in the provision of patient care. Over seen by the assigned RN and/or Clinical Coordinator as assigned. Reports to the Manager of Med-Surg/DOU.

Required Qualifications:

• Completed a minimum of 1 semester of clinical rotation and currently enrolled in a California Registered Nurse program.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served on the unit.
• Must speak, read and write English and communicate effectively.
• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
