Job Description:
Shuttle Drivers are responsible for providing shuttle services for special events and trips for College departments and groups as requested. Drivers are also responsible for providing shuttles during college break periods to and from airports in Baltimore and Philadelphia. In addition to these services, drivers provide nightly transportation to students around campus and weekend transportation throughout the Lancaster community.
Essential Functions:
- Provide shuttle services for F&M Campus community including, airport break shuttles to and from airports, nightly shuttles around campus and throughout the Lancaster community on the weekends and for field trips for college departments and student groups during the academic year.
- Coordinate trip details with supervisor and department/student groups as well as communicating with supervisor and other employees via email.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1-3 years of bus or large van driving experience.
- Ability and willingness to provide excellent service and to work in a collegial manner with students, faculty and staff, and other constituencies is essential.
- Most, if not all communication and coordination is via email. Drivers must be able to communicate efficiently and respond to all emails in a timely manner.
- Because this position requires driving for college business, the successful candidate must possess a U.S. or Canadian driver's license which has been valid for at least two years, have a driving record that is free from excessive motor vehicle violations within the last three years, and have had no convictions in the last 24 months for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Large Van Certified (to be completed by the College upon your hire).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Long distance driving experience.
Additional Information: Offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of reference checks, a criminal background verification, and verification of credentials. The College will coordinate these verifications.
