Job Description

Atlas Advisors, LLC (ATLAS), in support of the U.S. Department of State’s Global Advisory Program, is seeking qualified Technical Advisors (Organizational Level) for potential overseas assignments. These professionals will provide subject matter expertise in specialized areas such as logistics, compliance, operations, and security to Host Nations, Regional, or International Organizations. The Technical Advisor role is integral to advancing U.S. foreign policy objectives by building partner institutional capacity and enhancing self-sufficiency in complex environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advisory support at the organizational level in one or more specialized technical disciplines.

  • Lead and supervise implementation of technical strategies aligned with mission requirements.

  • Deliver expert analysis, advice, and actionable recommendations tailored to host nation objectives.

  • Develop training programs, operating procedures, or policy recommendations as needed.

  • Liaise with host nation counterparts and U.S. government stakeholders to ensure effective coordination.

  • Support organizational transformation and institutional capacity-building efforts.

  • Facilitate knowledge transfer to ensure long-term sustainability without external assistance.

Qualifications 

Required,

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.

  • Minimum six (3) years of relevant experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical efforts in austere, international, or government environments.

Desired,

  • 6+ years of relevant experience

  • Prior experience living and/or working overseas.

  • Foreign language proficiency.

  • Experience working with mid-level government or military officials.

  • Expertise in sectors such as compliance, logistics, security, financial systems, or operations.

  • TS/TCI Clearance 

  • Experience with DOS
