Training Coordinator

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Training Coordinator to join our team in the food retail sector. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive training programs to ensure employees are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in training development, delivery, and evaluation, along with a deep understanding of the operational needs of a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify gaps in employee knowledge and skills through performance analysis and collaboration with leadership.
  • Design and implement training programs, including new hire orientation, job-specific training, and cross-training opportunities.
  • Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions both in-person and virtually, using a variety of instructional techniques and formats.
  • Develop and update training materials, including manuals, presentations, videos, and e-learning modules tailored to operational needs.
  • Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, testing, and performance metrics; recommend improvements as needed.
  • Partner with store managers, HR, and department leads to ensure training aligns with company goals and compliance standards.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date training records and documentation for auditing and compliance purposes.
  • Coordinate training efforts for new store openings, including employee onboarding and development of location-specific training plans.
  • Ensure all training initiatives comply with applicable laws, safety standards, and internal policies across all operational states.
  • Stay current with industry trends, learning technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance the training experience.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in employee training or development within the food retail or related industry.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and learning management systems (LMS).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and training evaluation methods.
  • Willingness to travel to various store locations as needed.

This position requires availability to travel to multiple locations for approximately 50% of the time.
