Our Metropolitan mine is an underground coal mining operation located 30 kilometers north of Wollongong in Helensburgh, NSW, producing metallurgical coking coal for export and domestic customers. Reporting to the Manager - Health, Safety and Training, the scope of your role will be to maintain training requirements across the site, requiring high-end administration and organization skills. Duties will include: Maintain the onsite training database, ensuring accuracy, quality, and standardization to enable transportability across the business. Ensure the OSTE System is reliable and functional for site access and contractor management processes. Maintain a Site Training Calendar. Schedule employee training courses in line with approved training budgets and Training Needs Analysis outlined in the Training Scheme. Manage documentation and record control for the Training Function (training documents, forms, and packages). Implement and track approved Safety and/or Training Projects as required. Participate in and lead continuous improvement projects. Provide monthly reports related to the Training Function. Participate in and lead internal audits related to Safety, Health, and Training. Facilitate/deliver onsite training programs as required. Manage site and statutory appointments. The lifestyle: This position is offered on a part-time basis, working 3 days a week, promoting a balanced residential lifestyle. About you: Experience as a Training Administrator, preferably within mining or heavy industry. Demonstrated commitment to safety as a core value. Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Office, and Avetta Onsite Track Easy (or similar). Hold a Cert IV in Training and Assessment. At least 3 years of relevant experience. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Strong attention to detail coupled with problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of WHS Mines and Petroleum Legislation, including the Order 34 Training and Competency Scheme.
